May 1 JERSEY CITY — A 39-year-old man was stabbed by his girlfriend after allegedly abusing her in a Whiton Street home. Police were called to the home after the neighbors said there was a large argument going on. The man told police his girlfriend was drunk and had stabbed him in the leg with a kitchen knife. The man denied medical attention for the 1-inch cut on his leg and did not file a restraining order. His girlfriend was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
May 1 TRENTON — While being chased by police, a 27-year-old man crashed his car into Trenton Social at about 4 in the morning. The crash caused "excessive damage" to the building. Police attempted to pull over the man's car on I-95 after discovering that he had multiple traffic violations. The driver was arrested and charged with DUI, drug possession, fleeing to elude and recklessly endangering another person, police said. The man's name was not released.
