Assault in New Brunswick leaves stabbing victim hospitalized


A stabbing incident occurred in New Brunswick this past Sunday morning, leaving one man in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The stabbing occurred at 2:04 a.m. on a perpendicular street to Easton Avenue, according to police.

The victim, who remains unknown, was taken to a local hospital where he said he was assaulted by an unknown assailant wielding a sharp object, according to the police. The victim did not provide any other details involving the exact location of the incident and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police did not give a description of the assailant and said “descriptions of the perpetrator are limited at this time,” according to the alert.

The police are still investigating the incident at the time and have asked anyone with information to call the New Brunswick Police Department Detective Bureau at 732-745-5217.
