Students could see harsher punishments when it comes to cheating if University administration gets its way. After years of drawn out judicial processes, the University is moving to revise its policies on student cheating and plagiarism. Associate Vice President of Student Affairs Brian Rose said his office is not pleased with the current judicial process the University enforces when dealing with breaches of academic integrity.
The Women Empowered - a Douglass College Educational Opportunity Fund student organization - presented the Darfur Action Project last Thursday night at the Douglass Student Center. The student-based project is geared towards raising awareness about the Sudanese genocide and calls for an initiative for global change through local activism and a University alliance to stop the systematic killing.
Rutgers University has filed a Request for Proposal to build one or two story style apartment buildings at the Livingston campus to house 800 to 1,000 students, said Joan Carbone, executive director of Residence Life. The apartment proposal is the first project based off of the recommendations on studies conducted by the independent consultant Brailsford & Dunlavey, said Vice President of Student Affairs Gregory Bliming.
