Mexican migrants line city sidewalks for passports

Thousands of people, mostly Mexican migrants, waited, some for up to 24 hours, last week to receive passports from a temporary mobile Mexican consulate set up at Middlesex Community College center on New Street. The Consulate on Wheels, which was in the city for five days beginning last Monday, issued about 2,500 passports to Mexican citizens.

Former SCILS prof. in running for deanship

Jorge Schement, currently a professor at the Pennsylvania State University, spoke in support of his candidacy for the deanship of the School of Communication, Information and Library Studies last Tuesday - two weeks after fellow Penn State faculty member Michael Hecht gave a similar seminar.

The New Brunswick skyline is set to change with the addition of the Pinnacle at New Brunswick Station, a 1.8 million square foot, $650 million complex. The project will be located near the train station at the end of New Street. It will house residential units, office and retail space, a supermarket and a fitness facility, said Martin Santini, the project's architect.
