Jessica Tuazon, a senior in the School of Engineering, has been appointed Rutgers University Student Assembly vice president following the abrupt resignation of the previous vice president over the summer.
Earlier this month, members of American Association of University Professors-American Federation of Teachers took to a Board of Governors’ meeting in support of pay equity and affordable healthcare. These unions have since received some of theses benefits.
Nicholas Pellitta, chair of the board and a School of Arts and Sciences junior, said that the Rutgers University Student Assembly (RUSA) has been given more than $1 million from student tuition fees to divey among student organizations.
