Rutgers suffers worst loss of season in Champaign

One game removed from one of their best shooting performances ever, the Rutgers women’s basketball team couldn’t find any success behind the arc and were blown out by Illinois, 78-41 in Champaign Saturday afternoon. The story of the game was Illini freshman Petra Holešínská, who dropped xx points.

Rutgers tie RAC three-point record in win over Wisconsin

The Rutgers women’s basketball team is a completely different group than the one that started the season. The Scarlet Knights tied a Rutgers Athletic Center record for most three-pointers made in a game, draining 11 shots from range en route to a convincing 68-52 victory over Wisconsin on Wednesday night. Rutgers (5-11) was able to force 22 turnovers and the Badgers (5-10) did not have a single player in double figures. The Knights shot an unprecedented 50 percent from the field, including 58 percent from three-point range. Sophomore guard KK Sanders continues to emerge as a star player for the Knights, as she had a game-high 16 points and proved her point guard skill set, dishing out 8 assists and getting 4 steals.

Rutgers ends year on high note with win over Penn State

Judging by the way the beginning of the season went, some began to worry that the Rutgers women’s basketball would struggle to win a Big Ten game this year.  Well, the Scarlet Knights did just about everything but struggle on New Years Eve at the Rutgers Athletic Center, as they led from start to finish in a 61-45 victory over Penn State. “I thought that we played well, played hard, played together,” said head coach C.

Rutgers leads Bucknell from start to finish for second win

This was not the same team that showed up against Duke on Thursday night.  The Rutgers Women’s basketball team went up big and held on for dear life, defeating Bucknell 57-53 at the Rutgers Athletic Center on Saturday afternoon The Scarlet Knights (2-6) came storming out of the gates against the Bison (5-3), jumping out to a quick 7-0 lead.
