Matthew Stein: What’s playing in your iPod right now?
Anthony Davis: I got everything from Radiohead to Lil’ Wayne to Metallica to Drake. Ozzy Osbourne, Crazy Train right now. We listen to my phone before games.
MS: Why do you drive what you drive?
AD: It’s the only thing I can afford: I drive a ’95 Chevy Blazer.
MS: What’s one thing about you we would not know?
AD: I love music, and I watch Animal Planet 24-7. I like watching bears and lions.
MS: What was childhood like?
AD: Eh, you live and you learn.
MS: Who would play you in a movie?
AD: McLovin or Napoleon Dynamite.
MS: What is your favorite late night food?
AD: Hansel n’ Griddle. Everything is good there. And Easton Ave. bagels.
MS: What is training camp like?
AD: We wake up every day and stay until 11 o’clock at night. We throw our strength coach in the cold tubs every year.
MS: Any pregame rituals?
AD: Before games, I listen to Kanye West’s entire College Dropout album or Late Registration. I call my mom and my brother and everybody and tell them I love them in case I pass out.
MS: Who is the most fun to watch in the weight room on the o-line?
AD: Howard Barbieri. He’s a beast.
MS: Is there a play that stands out in your mind, either in high school or college?
AD: I picked a kid up with one arm in high school. In a South Brunswick game, I pulled around and picked him up and choke slammed him. But I’m not really a mean guy; it just happened like that.
MS: Who is your favorite player in Rutgers history?
AD: Howard Barbieri. No, I’m changing it to Kevin Malast. He told me to change it. He was my favorite player last year; I didn’t think about it.
