Reasso resigns after 29 seasons

Rutgers Athletic Director Tim Pernetti announced Monday that men's soccer head coach Bob Reasso resigned and will not return for his 30th season.

"I had an unbelievable 29 years at Rutgers University and Rutgers will always be a part of me," Reasso said in a statement. "It is time to look for new challenges in my career. I want to personally thank the many friends at Rutgers I have had, including Tim Pernetii, Bob Mulcahy, Kevin MacConnel, Gene Well and Matt Colagivoanni. I will always root for the Scarlet Knights."

Reasso finished his career at Rutgers with a 351-183-71 all-time record. He led the Scarlet Knights to 13 NCAA Tournament appearances, three final fours and one national championship game. His 1990 team finished 20-3-2, but lost to UCLA in the title game.

Reasso was the 1990 National Coach of the Year.

"We truly appreciate Bob's commitment to our men's soccer program and I thank him for his years of service," Pernetti said. "He elevated our program during his tenure and was key part of our past success in the sport."

Long-time Reasso assistant Dave Boutilier will serve as interim coach while a national search is conducted.

It gets worse. Indoor coach Don D'Ambra is rumored to be in the running for the post. He was one of Reassso's assistants. Same ol Same ol and they get a indoor coach??? WTF??

RU and Seton Hall haven't been on the soccer map for years. Manny should resign as well.
