Earlier this month, members of American Association of University Professors-American Federation of Teachers took to a Board of Governors’ meeting in support of pay equity and affordable healthcare. These unions have since received some of theses benefits. 

Nicholas Pellitta, chair of the board and a School of Arts and Sciences junior, said that the Rutgers University Student Assembly (RUSA) has been given more than $1 million from student tuition fees to divey among student organizations. Each organization is allowed to submit approval to have two of their events funded by the assembly next semester.

In a stand against sexual and gender-based violence, students in the “Take Back the Night” march made their way from College Hall on Douglass campus to Voorhees Mall on the College Avenue campus where they stopped in front of Scott Hall. 

Kevin Pitt is the director of the Office of Student Conduct at Rutgers. He says that while future state laws may call for marijuana legalization, the University’s code of conduct still prohibits it and may take administrative action.
