Three steps to start up new club

There are more than 400 student-run organizations and thousands of students at the University. But any student can start a new organization if they follow the proper process.
“Just the task of starting a new club is time consuming,” said President of Rutgers University for the Welfare of Animals Natalia Arias, a Rutgers College senior.
Associate Director of Student Centers and Programs Karen Ardizzone plainly laid out the steps to creating a club.

Group encourages students to ‘R.E.A.D.’

As the academic year begins, students may look through their syllabi and realize their required readings include nothing they actually want to read. But Artemus Werts is offering some alternatives.
Werts, a School of Arts and Sciences junior, founded the R.E.A.D. book club, an acronym for Read, Engage and Discuss.
“[The club is] really just about reading a book and being able to discuss it with a group of peers,” Werts said.

RUPA plans full schedule for fall

The Rutgers University Programming Association has set up a fall schedule filled with concerts, carnivals and comedy shows beginning next week and extending past homecoming.
RUPA is the official programming board that puts on events for the University community, said Vice President of Marketing Amit Sinha, who assisted with organizing events this semester.
