After Saturday’s 52-0 loss to No. 19 Michigan, Rutgers Athletics Director Pat Hobbs fired former head coach Chris Ash and offensive coordinator John McNulty. With eight games left in the season, Hobbs selected tight ends coach Nunzio Campanile to lead the Rutgers football team through the remainder of the 2019 season.

The 2019 season had gotten off to a perfect start for the Rutgers men's soccer team. On an eight game unbeaten streak, the No. 22 Scarlet Knights (6-1-2, 0-1-1) found themselves ranked at No. 22 this week. It was their first season-opening eight game unbeaten streak since 1985.

This past weekend, the Rutgers field hockey team had a tough loss on its home turf against No. 4 Maryland. The No. 18 Scarlet Knights (4-4, 0-1) had a tough run and a close game against one of the highest-ranked teams in the country, which just goes to show how far Rutgers has come this year.

The Rutgers volleyball team traveled to State College, Pennsylvania, this past Saturday to face No. 5 Penn State in what was assuredly going to be a very lopsided win for the Nittany Lions (9-2, 2-0) long before either team took the court.
