Rutgers club hosts event discussing Supreme Court cases

The Rutgers American Enterprise Institute (AEI) Club hosted an event at Alexander Library on Friday titled, “The 2020 Supreme Court Docket: A Discussion.” The event featured Adam White from the AEI and Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University as well as Professor Jo-Leo Carney-Waterton from the Rutgers Department of Political Science. 

Rutgers students, faculty organize protest over India's Citizenship Amendment Act

A protest against India’s Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) was held on Friday in front of Scott Hall on the College Avenue campus. The attendees of the protest came to stand in solidarity against the CAA and what it implies for Muslim religious minority groups. A counterprotest to defend the CAA also emerged.

Rutgers groups help local church test new program for food insecure students

The College Avenue Community Church served lunch to food-insecure students from Nov. 4 to Nov. 15 as part of the Community Cafe initiative. The two-week pilot program was sponsored by Rutgers Student Affairs, Rutgers Student Food Pantry, Rutgers Cooperative Extension and Rutgers Against Hunger. 

Rutgers’ Martin Blaser makes major contribution to medicine

Martin J. Blaser, director of Rutgers Center for Advanced Biotechnology and Medicine, Henry Rutgers Chair of the Human Microbiome and the professor of medicine and microbiology at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, received the 2019 Robert Koch Gold Medal for his life’s work and contribution to science, according to a University press release.
