Baker provides consistency and leadership for Rutgers

This past Sunday afternoon, the Rutgers men’s basketball team's co-captain, junior guard Geo Baker, achieved a career milestone. After putting up 16 points in a loss against Wisconsin, Baker surpassed the 1,000-point mark for his collegiate career. The Scarlet Knights' (18-10, 9-8) guard averages 10.7 points per game (PPG) this year and 11.3 PPG over the span of his career. Baker is the 44th player in Rutgers history to reach the 1,000 point milestone. 







Rutgers falls to Wisconsin despite 2nd half surge

The Rutgers men’s basketball team suffered another road defeat at Wisconsin yesterday, falling 79-71 at the Kohl Center. The Scarlet Knights (18-10, 9-8) couldn’t contain the Badgers’ (17-10, 10-6) offensive attack, allowing Wisconsin to shoot 11 of 22 from three-point range. The Badgers also shot 20 of 26 (76.9 percent) from the free throw line in comparison to Rutgers' 7 of 10 mark.











Rutgers notes as March Madness approaches

It is no secret at this point that the Rutgers men’s basketball team is having a historically strong season. The Scarlet Knights (18-8, 9-6) are on the verge of their first NCAA Tournament berth since 1991. With that being said, their ticket to March Madness is not yet set in stone. Here’s what needs to happen for them to be picked on Selection Sunday, which is just under four weeks from now.
