RBHS faculty union calls on Rutgers to finalize contract amid coronavirus outbreak

The American Association of University Professors — Biomedical and Health Sciences of New Jersey (AAUP-BHSNJ), the union representing approximately 1,400 faculty members at Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS), is calling on the University to finalize a contract for faculty during the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

She discussed the potential changes and challenges in sleep due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, as well as the importance of maintaining a healthy sleep schedule during these times.

After their last rotation in the clinical environment, Danika Baskar and Sally Tarabey, juniors at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS), said they wanted to help the medical workers in another way and helped develop the COVID-19 Medical Student Task Force at RWJMS.


Walk-up coronavirus test site opening in New Brunswick this week using Rutgers-developed test

A new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) walk-up testing site is opening in New Brunswick this week at the A.C. Redshaw Elementary School at 216 Livingston Ave. The appointment-only site will be open to Middlesex County residents from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, according to a press release. 


Murphy announces plan to restart economy, calls for sustained drop in new coronavirus cases beforehand

At a press conference today, Gov. Phil Murphy (D-N.J.) announced his plan for economic rebuilding along with 2,146 additional cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and 106 deaths. This brings New Jersey’s total to 111,188 cases and 6,044 deaths.
