With the Big Ten and NCAA Championships on the horizon, the Rutgers wrestling team will wrestle its sixth ranked opponent in its last five weekends, when it goes head to head with No. 18 Wisconsin tonight in Madison. All five teams the No. 21 Scarlet Knights have faced during that span are in the Big Ten, as are the Badgers.

After a three-game slide against some top competition, the Rutgers wrestling team will not be jumping for joy anytime soon, even after its win over North Carolina on Friday night at the Rutgers Athletic Center (RAC). Still, it was nice to see the No. 17 Scarlet Knights (4-3, 1-2) get off the Schneider and back in the win column.

Two or three years ago, the Rutgers wrestling team probably would have been content finishing with 15 points against Iowa. After a 27-9 defeat in 2014-15 against the then-No. 1 Hawkeyes and a 29-6 drubbing the following year against then-No. 2 Iowa, 15 points sounds pretty good.
