New Brunswick Faculty Council calls for Hobbs' removal

The New Brunswick Faculty Council (NBFC) has passed a resolution calling for the University to dismiss Rutgers Athletics Director Pat Hobbs due to the consistently poor performance of the football team and the failure of the Department of Athletics to respond to abuse allegations against the softball coaches, according to the NBFC website.

Rutgers researchers win award for tuberculosis test

On Nov. 14, two researchers from Rutgers University received the 2019 Edison Patent Award for biotechnology from the Research and Development Council of New Jersey for the development of a new Mycobacterium tuberculosis (TB) test, according to a press release. 

 Gov. Phil Murphy (D-N.J.) signed a piece of legislation with the aim to expand paid family leave for workers in New Jersey.

RBHS faculty union pushes for parental leave policy

The American Association of University Professors Biomedical and Health Sciences of New Jersey (AAUP-BHSNJ) released a new advertisement to urge the University to establish a parental leave policy for Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) faculty, according to a press release.
