The Rutgers men’s track and field team was abruptly faced with one this past weekend, as the the team was planning to split up between the Dogwood Relays at Tennessee and the Sam Howell Invitational at Princeton University.However, that did not go as planned.The Scarlet Knights were held from flying to Tennessee due to the inclement weather during those competition days, and were immediately sent back to compete at either the Sam Howell Invitational or Rider Invitational meets on short notice.Junior javelin thrower Chris Mirabelli has been faced with quite a few obstacles over the past few weeks.

The Rutgers Women’s Track and Field team continued its outdoor campaign last weekend with participation in the Tennessee Relays at Tom Black Track at LaPorte Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee.The Scarlet Knights came out of the meet with five top-5 placements and seven Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) qualifying marks, including a new personal record set by senior Sarah Robbie in the 800-meter relay.Robbie achieved fifth-place overall with an ECAC qualifying time of 2:09.59, besting her previous PR of 2:09.76 set earlier this season at the ECAC Indoor Championships in March.The senior also assisted fellow Knights senior Kaitlyn Bedard, junior Brianna Haspel, and sophomore Jenna Sobieski in the 4x800-meter relay.
